RUTGERS UNIVERSITY DENTAL ASSOCIATES Reviews

While I am happy with the service provided by my oral surgeon (Dr. Aziz), the center for dental and oral health is a HUGE issue. Not only was I lied to about being approved for my surgery. The resident surgeon told the hospital (UMDNJ) that I was approved and the staff should have sent in my documentation. When the OR staff/ nurses/ receptionist was ready to just send me home the resident surgeon assured them they would get the approval paperwork around 9am when the office opened. I was the 1st surgery of the day and it was about 6:30am at that time. The hospital staff let me go into surgery on the word of the resident surgeon and that was that. Until 3 months later when I received a extremely large hospital/surgeon/anesthesiologist bill in the mail stating i owed XX thousand of dollars for the procedure. Keep in mind When the surgeons office called me to schedule surgery I was told that all I had to pay was a $1000 deductible. I called numerous times between May 2011 and now and there has been nothing resolved. The billing office is never in when I call. I went into the office any they swear I was approved but still have not given me any proof. My insurance company at that time said I was denied twice the month before surgery and again after surgery. The surgeons office had submitted the documentation on those 3 occasions and again NEVER said I was denied!
