My daughter was a patient of Dr Chartier. Who regrettable moved out of state and sold his practice to Dr Rudd. I would not recommend this practice to take care of my dogs teeth. Our first encounter with Dr Rudd my daughter was in tears and Dr. Chartier had to take over, after I demanded Dr Rudd stop. Dr Chartier explained, my daughter would only have a one more or two more appoints and then she would be in the retainer phase. This was in March. My daughter has seen Dr Rudd Twice since. I wasn't impressed at those either. The first one my daughter was told ok see you back in 6 weeks only to have to tell the good doctor that he had not put in the wire and elastics. The next visit I was a little more impressed my daughter made it to the desk before she said no one put on my rubber bands. I have not been able to get him to explain when everything is coming off like Dr Chartier had said.

Now my daughter lost a band it was coming off the back molar and the wire kept coming out, a called the office on Thursday before Memorial day weekend. I was told he couldn't see us until Tues. I was told just push it back on and I could use some wax to hold it in place or cut the wire. We had an appointment already on this day, but unfortunately due to a family emergency we couldn't make that appointment. I left a message for a new and received no call back. We were called out of state, with her mouth like this. I called when we got back and we were told we could only be seen on Wednesday. I had other medical appointment on this particular day. I was not offered any other time just told he is not available. I became angry and ask to be scheduled to remove all treatment and start the Retainer phase. His reception said the doctor would call. He hasn't still. I finally insisted on an appointment to get the band reapplied and wire placed since he cannot see my daughter until later in July.

If you want a Doctor, who doesn't care if he is hurting your child, will send her home missing wires and elastics. Who is only in the office Tuesday through Thursday, Offers no after-hours care or emergency walking. Then this may be the orthodontist for you. I say this based on my experience

I personal find it interesting that my dental insurance notified me that his office had used up all my orthodontic benefit, and I had paid Dr Chartier in full per our contract 6 months ago. Could Money be a factor in why my daughter has such a hard time getting appointments? Just a thought. My daughter will be leaving this practice and we will be paying for a new orthodontist out of our own pocket, rather than risk her care with Dr Rudd

Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics - That area of dentistry concerned with the supervision, guidance and correction of the growing or mature dentofacial structures, including those conditions that require movement of teeth or correction of malrelationships and malformations of their related structures and the adjustment of relationships between and among teeth and facial bones by the application of forces and/or the stimulation and redirection of functional forces within the craniofacial complex. Major responsibilities of orthodontic practice include the diagnosis, prevention, interception and treatment of all forms of malocclusion of the teeth and associated alterations in their surrounding structures; the design, application and control of functional and corrective appliances; and the guidance of the dentition and its supporting structures to attain and maintain optimum occlusal relations in physiologic and esthetic harmony among facial and cranial structures.
